Nogada\, a creamy walnut sauce\, is believed to have been created in 1821 by the grateful people of Puebla\, Mexico who were giving a banquet in honor of Don Agustin de Iturbide’s saint’s day. All the dishes featured the colors of the Mexican flag – green chilies\, the white sauce and red pomegranate seeds as garnish. \nThe first 50 people living in the Tucson metro area to register will get their ingredients free!
