Jackie Tran – Chef/Owner, Tran’s Fats, Food Writer, Photographer
A lifelong food obsessive, he grew up on classic PBS cooking shows hosted by Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Rick Bayless and Ming Tsai.
Although he initially wanted to be a restaurateur, he was inspired by Anthony Bourdain to pick up food journalism. After four years of documenting local cuisine for Tucson Foodie and traveling vicariously through YouTube food vloggers, he decided to dive back into the trenches with his own food truck.
