Cucinare e mangiare (cook and eat) with Chris for an ultimate Italian comfort food dinner that’s cheesy and creamy with an added bonus of lean protein: Fettucine Alfredo, shrimp scampi, salad and garlic bread. It’s a perfect way to spend a Friday evening.

Alfredo De Lelio’s Rome restaurant, Alfredo, on the Via della Scrofa, began serving the dish when it opened in 1914 and it remains on the menu. In 1920, while on their honeymoon, Hollywood actors Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks liked it so much they introduced it to their friends, calling it Fettucine Alfredo.
