Monday, September 25, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Eat Well & Age Gracefully: Love Your Heart with Chef Barry Infuso. Sponsored by AARP, the class is free.
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated or boring while enjoying a variety of foods from different food groups – fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, legumes, dairy products, and healthy fats.
In this Eat Well & Age Gracefully class, sponsored by AARP, you’ll cook a delicious heart healthy meal with Chef Barry Infuso.
Chef’s inspiration comes from Dean Ornish, MD, president and founder of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California, and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ornish is an advocate for using diet and lifestyle changes to treat and prevent heart disease.
On the menu: Hummus, Pasta Primavera topped with nutritional yeast instead of cheese; and a soft serve frozen treat made in the bullet: Frozen Bananas and Blueberries with Almond Milk.
