Take a culinary journey to Italy and Paris with Casino Del Sol’s Executive Sous Chef Roderick LeDesma’s spring gnocchi workshop. Dating to the 16th century, gnocchi was born long after Spanish explorers brought potatoes from South America to Italian chefs. The provenance of gnocchi à la Parisienne is a Franco-Italian merger with the French version using pâte à choux dough.
In this hands-on workshop you’ll make and eat Sweet Pea Gnocchi with an Herb Cream Sauce and Gnocchi à la Parisienne with Goat Cheese, Leeks and Lemons.
CLASS NOTES: The in-person workshop, limited to 16, will be held at the Catalina United Methodist Church kitchen, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd. You’ll receive an email with class details 3 days in advance. All classes and events are nonrefundable. You can request a transfer to a different class or event up to 7 days prior to the class or event.
