October 27, 2020 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
$40.00Tuesday, Oct. 27, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. Zoom Class: Nott Cooks – Dia de los Muertos. $40.00 per screen.
Celebrating 6-7 generations of his Tucson roots, and with a nod to Dia de los Muertos, Chef Kyle Nottingham will shine some light on his family’s heritage and offer sweet recipes from his Nana Connie Catalano and what she cooked with her mother, Great Nana Clara Flores.
Two extra special ingredients – Celina Martin, Chef Kyle’s mom, and Nana Connie – will join him in the kitchen showcasing three recipes passed down for generations: Bizcochuelos or Biscohitos, a sugar cookie packed with flavor thanks to anise and cinnamon; Arroz Con Pasa, a warm, sweet rice porridge with raisins made for special events or occasions and Champurrado, a thick, creamy hot chocolate drink that’s a traditional Dia de los Muertos beverage.
The first 50 people to register will get their ingredients for free! In Tucson, you’ll pick them up at either Campbell Avenue or Grant Road Prep & Pastry, and for those in Maricopa County, you’ll pick up at Prep & Pastry’s Scottsdale location. You’ll receive an email with all the details.
CLASS NOTES: This is a cook along class offered live via the Zoom app. You’ll receive an email with recipes and class details 5 days in advance. Please submit an email address you frequently check. Some time-consuming steps may need to be prepared in advance. Virtual classes are nonrefundable.
