The flavors of today’s cuisine from the Land of Smiles draws inspiration from its ancient history combining meat and seafood with rice, local vegetables, herbs and spices. At Chef Dee Buizer’s Senae Thai Bistro, her authentic and elevated dishes enjoyed rave reviews.
You’ll cook with her as she shares stories and recipes and understand how Thai food satisfies and perfectly balances salty, sweet, bitter, sour and umami.
On the menu: Peurk Tod (Taro Fries) start the culinary journey; Porpia Sot’s (Fresh Thai Spring Rolls) refreshing flavors come from cucumber, jicama, mint, carrot and red bell pepper wrapped in rice paper with a sweet chile vinaigrette dipping sauce; and Karee Gai (Thai Yellow Curry Chicken) is flavorful, rich and aromatic with coconut milk, exotic Thai spices, vegetables and herbs.
CLASS NOTES: The class, limited to 16, will be held at the Catalina United Methodist Church kitchen, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd. You’ll receive an email with class details (everything you’ll need will be provided) 3 days in advance. Please use an email address you frequently check. All classes, workshops and events are nonrefundable. You can request a transfer to a different class or event up to 7 days prior to the class or event. Culinary Boot Camps or workshops require a 14-day notification. Your request must be emailed to email@example.com.
